Fendt's New 900 Series Offer Driver Stability, Tier 4 Compliance and More

by

Fendt’s new 900 series models of Tier 4-compliant tractors are not only more environmentally friendly, they’re also more efficient in the field. With the integration of Fendt’s selective catalytic reduction technology, the new models provide up to 7% better fuel economy than their predecessors. They are available in a 200 to 300 PTO horsepower power range, with all kinds of new features.

Driving comfortably down the highway at speeds above 12.5 miles per hour, as Fendt Stability Control automatically locks the differential and dampens side-to-side movement, increasing driving stability and braking performance. In speeds of any less, the system disengages.

Besides also providing a front-mounted PTO, the new 900 series offers four ways to engage or disengage the system, including two buttons in the cab (on the joystick and in the Variotronic control system), buttons on the rear fenders and an automatic disengage that occurs when the three-point hitch reaches a certain, pre-determined height.

For more information on Varioterminal, cab, PTO and engine features, feel free to take a virtual tour of one of the Fendt 900 series tractors with RealAgriculture’s Bernard Tobin and Reid Hamre of AGCO, by watching the video below.

Not all that eager for Fendt’s standard colours? You can opt instead, to have your 900 series tractor come in black cherry, fir green, jet black or steel blue, all with aluminum trim except the jet black version, which boasts the traditional bright red.
