Level-Wind: Rolling 1/4 Mile of Wire in 5 Minutes, Without the Puncture Wounds

by

Rolling wire isn’t most people’s idea of a good time. It’s frustrating, time-consuming work that can wear on your pride…and your gloves. B.A.M. Enterprises is offering a hydraulic solution, with their Level-Wind wire roller, an implement that was on display at this year’s Canadian Western Agribition.

The Level-Wind is a fairly simple machine. It mounts to tractor drawbars, front end loaders, post pounders and some deck trucks, with an optional three-point hitch mount available. The barbed wire spool holds 1/4 mile of barbed wire, which takes about 5 minutes to roll. A high-tensile spool is also available, and holds up to 1 mile of wire.

The unit costs roughly $1550, and can be seen in the video below, featuring Brad Mohr of B.A.M Enterprises.
