The New Site Has Arrived

new button

After much anticipation the new design for RealAgriculture.com has arrived.  We can now take this great concept to some new heights as we explore the world of agriculture.  I look forward to the future of the site and look forward to your feedback.

You will notice immediately that there are some changes to the new site based on your feedback.  As I mention at the bottom of this post please send me your feedback or leave your comments in the bottom of this post.  The new features are:

  • Search function — The search box in the top right corner of the page allows you to search by keyword to find the content that you are looking for.
  • Audio files — The new site allows us to record audio files.  This will enable us to provide more content and coverage of different insights from anywhere in the world.  I no longer have to travel all the time to get the opinions when instead we can use audio in some cases.
  • Better organization of comments — It is now easier to see what commnets have been posted and to what stories.  This should enable more interaction amongest the readers.
  • Increase in special features– With the success of the Canola School and the Beef Market Update, the new site will have even more special features.  I look at these features as the key to the future of the site.  Think of them as channels on your tv.
  • Advertising–After 12 months of funding this project myself I now have advertising to try and cover some of the costs and to support the future content concepts.
  • Increase in the amount of contributors –  Expect the number of contributors to increase between now and the new year to get more opinions driving the content of the site.  You will also be able to organize the content by contributor so that you do not miss any of your favorite content.  If you are interested in writing or think that you have a video series idea for the site please send me an email.
  • Sites– I have provided a listing of some of my favorite ag sites that I use on a daily basis.
  • Follow box – On the bottom right hand corner of the screen you can access the social media follow box which will allow you to access any of the social media sites this site or I participate in.

I hope that you enjoy the new site and the layout.  A special thanks to Dustin Larsen at the Internet Solutions Group for rebuilding the site.  If you have any comments or questions please leave them in the comment section of this post or send me an email.  Thanks and enjoy the new RealAgriculture.com
