Would a Late Harvest Impact Ethanol Production in Saskatchewan - Terra Fuel Grains

by

With seeding being so late this year in the west a person must begin to think about the ramifications if we ever make it to harvest.

This week at the Regina Farm Progress Show I talked to Dale Willamson, Manager of Supply, Logistics and DDG’s at Terra Grain Fuels about what they are hearing from farmers at the show and what a potential late  harvest may mean for ethanol production in Saskatchewan.

I asked Dale about the potential of an early frost, light grain and what would happen if farmers could not deliver on their contracts to the plant.  I also ask Dale about the DDG market and where prices are currently.
