Canola School: What the Combine Manufacturers Say About Setting Your Combine

Recently the Canola Council of Canada hosted a combine clinic to help growers optimize the settings of their machines.  Throw-over loss seems to be more of a serious issue than many growers want to discuss or admit.

In this weeks episode of the Canola School we put together a single video getting commentary from four different equipment manufacturers to see what insights and tips they have into setting combines better.  The participants were John Deere, CASE IH, CAT and New Holland.

One of the key points that I had to cut out of the video due to wind noise was that the setting in the machine for canola is a North American setting that provides a guideline.  Changing settings through the day requires tinkering and playing with the settings to ensure a proper optimized thrash.
