I have always found that many farmers do not fully understand how some of the products that they use are effective. I definitely have some products that I think I understand but am probably making some assumptions. This has become an even bigger issue with the pace that technology is being brought to the market. It is very difficult to understand some of the very “sciency” words that get thrown around from actives to traits.
I know for me this is an issue in terms of inoculants. I have seen the yield advantage in many trials and have heard many farmers discuss the performance on their farms. But how product like Becker Underwood’s Hi-Stick N/T work? At Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show I talked to Ralph Devries about how inoculants work and specifically what Biostacked is?
