Recently I travelled to Indianapolis, Indiana to visit the global headquarters of Dow Agro Sciences. I had the opportunity along with several other people from the Canadian ag media to entrench ourselves in the company’s strategy and objectives to better understand the company. Much of the presentation had to do with with the opportunities for the company in Canada but there was also a great chance to understand the global opportunities as well.
In Canada I would say that Dow Agro Sciences is best known for its development of Nexera Omega 9 canola. Of course Dow Agro Sciences is bigger than just Nexera, but what is the global story?
Tim Hassinger is the Crops Global Business Unit Leader and is based in Indianapolis. Tim talked to me about Dow Agro Science’s research agenda and how do they plan to grow market share in both crop protection and seeds.
