Wheat School: Talking to an Ontario Wheat Farmer – Steve Twynstra

In August, I was able to spend a morning with Steve Twynstra, Twilight Acre Farms.  Steve runs a diversified farm in the London area and wheat is a major part of his rotation.  Steve strongly believes that wheat is not just a rotation filler but a cash crop for his farm.  For Steve, wheat has economic and agronomic benefits for the farm.

Steve also believes in the benefits of genetic improvements and the ability of certified seed to transfer new research to the farm.
