Analysis of the Field Pea Market – Brenda Tjaden Lepp, FarmLink Marketing Solutions

There are lot of choices for farmers this year which is creating a significant battle for acres, even amongst the special crop acres. Yellow and green peas are not one of the true sexy selections in comparison to canola but are still an option for farmers looking to diversify the rotation. With all the focus on canola right now, some farmers want to know if there are some contrarian plays out there to capitalize on.

At the FarmLink Marketing Booth I talked to Brenda Tjaden Lepp about what is happening right now in the field pea market. I asked Brenda about where peas fit in some farmers plans and what she thinks is some of the potential for the coming year for the green and yellow pea crop.
