Vertical Tillage Helps Manage Moisture Levels Within the Soil

by

When I go to Farm shows and do booth interviews, one of my content decisions is looking at the booths that are gaining attention.  At CropWeek 2011 in Saskatoon one of the booths that was really busy was the Salford booth.  Many of our Eastern Canadian viewers will be very familiar with Salford while they are just entering the Western Canadian market.

At the CropWeek 2011 I asked Mark Van Veen from Salford about vertical tillage, how it helps manage moisture levels in the soil and manages crop residue.  It seemed that many farmers at the booth were asking if the RTS would help dry out the soil because it so wet in many areas of Saskatchewan.
