Everyone Loves an Auction at FarmAuctionGuide.com

by

Everyone does love an auction, and why not, there’s usually something there for everyone. It’s an event that sends bargain hunters and collectors out en masse to look for that “good deal” or that “rare gem” or even that spare part nobody makes anymore. The only problem is that you usually hear about those “good deals” second hand from someone else after the fact. A lot of the time you end up hearing about these auctions by word of mouth or a poster or flyer stuck in some obscure location that you stumble on by luck. Searching online can be just as confusing if you don’t know where to look.

Dwayne Leslie recognized this and decided to do something about it and farmauctionguide.com was born. Since February 2001, they’ve listed close to 96,000 farm auctions. As the business continued to grow, other industry specific partnerships were formed leading to the formation of the Global Auction Media Group, of which Leslie is President. We caught up with Dwayne Leslie at the Farm Progress Show in Regina to talk about the success of the site and what’s behind it.
