RealWeatherWatch: Winter's Arrival Not As Speedy As Anticipated

As the bulk of the prairie harvest progresses to completion, there are still some areas of the west that are lagging behind because of less than stellar conditions. One of those areas is the Peace Region of Northern Alberta. This growing season has been less than kind to them and the harvest has been slow due to rain and immature crops. With the threat of a cold, cold winter looming over the prairie provinces this year, the hopes are that the next few weeks shape up for producers in the Peace.

This week on the RealWeatherWatch we talk to Chris Scott, Forecast Operations Manager for the Weather Network, about what’s in store for the Peace country and the rest of the west. We also ask him if there’s any truth to the rumour of that bitterly cold winter headed our way.
