Macleans Magazine website has been surveying the general public on the future of supply management. With Primeminister Harper suggesting that all things are on the table, the media has really picked up the debate on the future of supply management in Canada.
With Harper suggesting taht everything is on the table, it has required some backtracking by both Harper and Ritz to try and stabilize the feelings of the supply management industry and backers. Even though the media has picked up on Harper’s comments it has been questioned repeatedly whether or not supply management was ever on the table in the first place at the TPP negotitations in Hawaii. I would suggest that Macleans use of the word “abolish” is a very interesting choice of words.
