Mark Wales is the New OFA President by One Vote

by

With Bette Jean Crews not seeking re-election for the Ontario Federation of Agriculture Presidency, there were three contenders for the the Presidency.  The candidates were Mark Wales, Don McCabe and Wayne Black.  Both McCabe and Wales were Vice Presidents with the OFA this past year.

In an incredibly close second vote, Mark Wales edged out Don McCabe by one vote.  Thats right one vote.

Ray Baynton, Blackburn AgriMedia was at the OFA AGM and was in the room as the vote results were being posted on the board.  RealAgriculture.com spoke with Ray about the close election and what may lay in store for the future of OFA with Mark Wales as the President.  Ray also comments on how Better Jean Crews beat Don McCabe for the second year in row and she wasn’t even running this year.
