Change a Necessity When it Comes to Farming Smarter

by

There are some elements of farming that will always be the same, but to move ahead and grow as a farm, it’s the changes that need to be kept up with. Whether it’s technology that keeps evolving every year or the ever changing dynamic of the consumer market, change isn’t just good when it comes to farming, it’s a necessity. The technology aspect can provide not only production boosts, but help to control input costs as well, giving you a greater control over your margins. Finding out what the consumer wants is critically important from a marketability standpoint. It allows you to add value to your product.

Jolene Brown is well aware of the importance of change and the willingness to change as key aspects to farm success. Jolene spoke about that at the 2011 Farming Smarter conference. Jolene is a certified speaking professional and an extremely knowledgeable and entertaining one as well. I spoke with her at the Farming Smarter Conference in Lethbridge, Alberta.
