RealWeatherWatch - Less Moisture, Cooler Temperatures For Springtime in Ontario

by

With the exception of a few soaked areas, spring planting, even though late, and the early spring growing season went pretty well in Ontario in 2011. In general, crops progressed nicely through what could have been a real mess and there were some fairly decent yields to be seen across the province. So what can we expect to see this year? Can we expect to white knuckle it through a rain soaked spring and buckle down to get the crop in? Will we warm up this spring enough to get the crop in in a timely manner?

Timely seems to be the word of choice when we look to the spring weather conditions and the forecast for the 2012 growing season. When those timely patterns occur means everything in agriculture.

I spoke to Drew Lerner of World Weather Inc. about what this spring could look like and what those timely weather patterns could look like throughout the 2012 growing season.
