Goodbye Spring Cattle Price Highs – Kevin Good, CattleFax

The North American cattle market has been very strong this spring. Without a doubt producers in the U.S. and Canada are nervously waiting to see where the market will go following the peak. Feed grain production, especially corn will have a major influence on the feeder side. The other player continues to be the weather, which will have an influence on both feed production on the corn side and the grazing end.

To get a better look at the market heading into spring, we talked to CattleFax Market Analyst Kevin Good. I asked Kevin a number of questions about this cattle market, about the potential volatility and the mood of the producers in the U.S. as they head into spring.  I also asked Kevin how beef demand will fair if the US economy continues to languish.
