How Big is Too Big For Air Carts?

At Canada’s Farm Progress Show in Regina this week it was difficult to miss the impressive rail car (errr…air cart) from Seed Hawk. Seed Hawk has a 1300 bushel air cart that is visually astonishing.  For the farmers looking to seed a section of wheat without having to refill the drill, this is the perfect option for you.  Obviously major tractor horsepower is required to play in this weight class.

We are hearing more and more farmers asking, “how big is too big”  Concerns over compaction in the heavier soils, and the general mobility of the unit are all concerns or issues everyone must sort through when picking an air cart.

As the saying goes, “go big or go home”
