Do yourself a favour, the next time you see a farmer in his 80’s, sit yourself down and have a chat. You’ll be amazed at how much things have changed and how that span of time equates to the blink of an eye. Take a drive through the country and you’ll see the difference a year or two can make to the horizon. I got to see some of those changes first hand on my way from Lethbridge to Edmonton as I watched the demolition of another of the old wood grain elevators that littered the lanscape.
