Hay East Accepting Eastern Donations; Still Thousands of Bales Needed

by

The very dry conditions in Ontario this summer have left many livestock producers very short on forage. The Hay East initiative (www.HayEast2012.com) is still looking for donations from the west and now has widened the request to include Ontario farmers with a little extra to spare. Jim Hair (@OFA1) posted this tweet this morning: #HayEast is open to hay donations from #ontag. #farmershelpingfarmers If you have hay to donate contact: [email protected]

Norm Hall, president of the Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan (APAS), is at Agribition this week drumming up support for the cause. In this video, Norm covers just how much hay they’ve managed to line up and how much more is needed.

So, how about it farmers — give what you can, get a charitable donation receipt and have your donation matched!
