Narrow and Mighty: The New Case IH Steiger RowTrac

by

Bigger isn’t always better. What’s better is matching the size of tractor you need on your farm that has all the capabilities you’re looking for with some added features that make an upgrade worth it. Case IH’s new Steiger RowTrac isn’t small by any means, but it is designed to be narrower and is available in “smaller” 350, 400 and 450 Hp models (vs. the QuadTrac which is available with up to 600 Hp).

As Darryl Priel explains in this video, the Steiger RowTrac may be set up with row crops in mind, but it can handle itself for broad acre applications just fine. What’s more, the narrower frame is built with the same specs as the larger QuadTrac machine, so there’s no heavy-duty trade-off on this lower horsepower machine.

The RowTrac is also designed with multi-functionality in mind. Equipped with a 3-point hitch and 113 US gallon/minute hydraulic flow, the RowTrac will handle a variety of implements, from a big air seeder, to grain carts and even scrapers. For those who like to tinker, the RowTrac has made servicing the machine a snap with easy to reach, accessible components. The RowTrac also features a roomy, comfy cab that’s built to minimize bounce and sway, maximizing rider comfort and reducing GPS receiver movement. All this and more is explained in the video below.
