Pests to Watch Out For In Alberta In 2013

by

If there’s two things I learned from the GIJOE cartoons in the eighties it’s that 1) GIJOE must have a strict catch and release policy because I don’t recall any members of COBRA being killed and they come back every week. 2) Knowing is half the battle!(they said it at the end of every episode) Well, at least one of the two is useful. Knowing what your up against can help you to prepare accordingly. Alberta Agriculture’s Pest Forecast is one of those tools that can be extremely useful for farmers in the coming crop year to help them know what to be on the lookout for. Being ahead of the curve on pest control saves both money and sanity.

This year at FarmTech, RealAgriculture’s Lyndsey Smith got an abbreviated version of Alberta’s Pest Forecast from Alberta Agriculture’s Scott Meers.
