GFO Rebrands Wheat Pool; Rolls Out New Logo & Online Allocation Tool

Grain Farmers of Ontario has refreshed the Ontario Wheat Pool brand in an effort to introduce new and young farmers to this marketing tool for the 2013-14 crop year.

The re-branding includes a new logo and a new online Wheat Marketing Tool for those unfamiliar with the wheat pool. The tool is intended to help farmers determine the appropriate portion of wheat they may want to commit to the pool

“Grain Farmers of Ontario offers several options for marketing wheat,” says Todd Austin, manager of wheat marketing at Grain Farmers of Ontario, in a press release. “The new Wheat Marketing Tool is a great online resource to help farmers determine the best marketing options for their wheat, by assigning portions of their inventory to different marketing streams.”

With the volatility of today’s commodity markets, farmers are encouraged to utilize the pooling program for a portion of their wheat crop as a risk management tool. The Wheat Pool is professionally managed by dedicated marketing experts at Grain Farmers of Ontario.
