Versatile Unveils the DeltaTrack at Canada's Farm Progress Show

by

Tracks are a big deal in mucky conditions, and work mighty fine in non-mucky fields, too. Versatile is the latest company to offer a track option, and unveiled the company’s newly designed Delta Track at the 2013 edition of Canada’s Farm Progress Show.

In this video, Adam Reid, director of marketing for Versatile, walks us through the design of this brand new unit and highlights the features of the tractor. The Delta Track is engineered for rider comfort, longevity and ease of maintenance, Reid says, and he explains how. How does the Delta Track system handle turning? Reid talks us through how the Versatile Delta Track moves with an eye on minimizing berms and soil disturbance on the turns.

Reid adds that, “Track and undercarriage maintenance was a major consideration throughout the development process. Midroller bearings and seal leakage was identified by owners of competitive machines as a source of concern. In preparation for this, Versatile and Camoplast were proactive in designing the undercarriage to address the common root cause of the problems with bearings and seals on midrollers.” As such, the DeltaTrack undercarriage was designed to eliminate the need for a center midroller, as the center midroller contributes to shock load on the undercarriage (and to the entire tractor structure) and can be very hard on bearings. “The DeltaTrack uses an extreme duty seal that was originally developed for the industrial bulldozer market,” he says.
