Hypro Express Nozzle Endcap Saves on Product, Eases Boom Cleanout

by

Choosing nozzles, comparing spray patterns and carefully setting water volume are all ways to improve the efficacy of products applied in-crop. Add to this GPS-equipped sprayers and variable rate application programs, and spraying can be one precise business. Until you reach the end of the field or spray zone and nozzles continue to spray even after shut off, wasting product and water and possibly applying product where you don’t want it to go, because of air in the booms.

Hypro has developed an endcap nozzle body to eliminate this very problem. Called the Express Nozzle Body Endcap, the fitting on either end of each boom section means that nozzles stop as much as eight seconds sooner than boom sections not equipped with the equipment. As Ralph Walker, of Hypro Pentair Water, shows us in the this video, this relative simple and affordable part can save a substantial amount of product and water and helps with total boom clean out, as well. Watch the video to see not only how it works, but also how to attach the part and what you can expect to pay for each unit.
