Viterra Supports CIGI with $1 million Investment

Viterra Inc. and Cigi (Canadian International Grains Institute) announced today that Viterra is investing $1 million to support Cigi in its ongoing efforts to promote Canadian field crops to customers in domestic and international markets. As a result of this partnership, Cigi’s main classroom with be renamed the “Viterra Knowledge Centre.”

“Cigi has an excellent international reputation for delivering customized training programs and technical expertise to farmers and end users. Their work has helped to enhance Canada’s position as a reliable supplier of safe and high quality grains, oilseeds and pulses,” said Kyle Jeworski, Viterra’s President and CEO for North America.

“This is a milestone day for Cigi,” said Earl Geddes, Cigi CEO. “It marks the first time in the new marketing era that an industry partner has made such a significant financial contribution in support of our work and mission to create a global advantage for Canadian field crops. Not only does this $1 million investment symbolize Viterra’s leadership in Canada’s grain industry, it shows their commitment to a vision that will see Cigi build and grow its efforts to serve the domestic industry and international customers.”
