Bourgault introduced its L7550 last week at Canada’s 2014 Farm Progress Show. The new seeder features an optional 20 bushel saddle tank; a staircase, railings and wide catwalk; a hydraulic metering drive that automatically adjusts with changes to ground speed; and a user-friendly hydraulic hitch jack.
The cart comes standard with a monitoring system, with up to seven cameras available. It also boasts the option of increased precision with Bourgault’s Auto Section Control, which works with the TopCon X-30 Seeder Controller to manage seed distribution. The system automatically adjusts to limit overlap by shutting off seed flow to appropriate secondary manifolds on 6, 8 or 9 sections, depending on drill size.
In this video, Robert Fagnou, marketing specialist with Bourgault, walks us around the new cart, giving an overview of the machine, and detail to some of the aforementioned highlights.
