Whether you’re harvesting or hauling grain in the off-season, augers play a huge role in on-farm efficiency. Over the years we’ve seen the introduction of larger capacity augers, and the hoppers to match. Eventually, these hoppers were on wheels, able to easily swing right into place. Now, there are hoppers available to producers that can actually be driven over, saving time and increasing efficiency. One such auger, the Gulp, was featured at Canada’s Farm Progress Show.
In this video, Greg Giesbrecht, general sales manager for Westfield Industries, walks us through the Gulp’s design, explaining how it functions, the ease in its assembly and disassembly and what augers are compatible with its design.
