Manitoba Wheat & Barley Growers Association Joins Cereals Canada

by

The Manitoba Wheat and Barley Growers Association (MWBGA) is a new member of Cereals Canada, the not-for-profit industry group announced yesterday.

Cereals Canada brings together a broad and diverse collection of partners from all parts of the cereals sector and across the country. Representation from farmers from all regions is a critical element to our future success. It is very important to us to have the voice of Manitoba growers at our table,” Greg Porozni, chair of the board of directors, says.

“The MWBGA is in full support of a collaborative and coordinated approach to a number of major cereal market development and research issues. We support Cereals Canada as the primary organizational vehicle to coordinate and provide leadership on how much of that work gets done,” says Don Dewar, Chair of MWBGA.

The Alberta Wheat Commission is also a member of Cereals Canada. The Saskatchewan Wheat Commission is not, as of yet.
