The Strange Things Farmers Find In Their Fields

by

Farming can be a strange business, even stranger can be some of the things you find in your field.  From crop circles, artillery shells to burned up stolen vehicles (2 out of 3 were at Serfas Farms) farmers are always finding strange things popping out of the ground or left for no one to ever find again.

Back in mid July the first crop circle of the year was discovered in the UK.  Pictured above it is quite the design and nothing like most will find during the growing season.  SEE THE FULL CROP CIRCLE STORY.

Now back to the burned up Escalade.

I have never found anything exciting like a burned up car in any of our fields but  I have had my truck stolen and I found it in a field.  Also included was the newly acquired scent of cat pee that was added after the thieves left all the windows unrolled. Here are some the shells that Kevin found this spring.

I have heard of people finding old native arrowheads but artillery shells are not very common.

One of the common ones people tend to share is finding an eager green thumb in training who has planted marijuana in your field.

The picture to the left shows a police officer pulling marijuana plants from an Ontario corn field in August of 2012.  SEE THE STORY.

Farmers fields are full of gold and riches for the collector of anything obscure.  Whether it be spoons, weapons, coins and even burned up vehicles.

We would love to hear some of the craziest things you have ever found in your field through the years.  I can only imagine some of the treasures where X did not mark the spot on the map.
