Canadian Dairy Industry Showcases XPO, Enthusiasm in Wisconsin

The Canadian dairy industry is not only attending the World Dairy Expo held in Madison, Wisconsin, it’s also promoting its own enthusiasm with a set-up in the International Lounge.

The booth highlights the Canadian Dairy XPO (CDX), with hopes to recruit further international interest in the event, which runs February 4-5, 2015 in Stratford, Ontario.

Only going into its third year, the CDX already hosts an astonishing 13 900 attendees. On what makes the Canadian Dairy XPO so successful, Jordan Underhill, general manager of CDX, was among the representatives at the world event, says it’s largely the strength of the industry.

“We all understand the merits of supply management. We want to protect that. And I think that the overall vibrance and energy behind the industry comes out in the show,” Underhill said. “And I think it just comes down to the passion of the dairymen at the end of the day.”

In the following video, RealAgriculture’s Bernard Tobin quizzes Underhill on what’s new this year, covering everything from cow numbers to international speakers and even some changes in parking.
