Glyphosate resistant fleabane is coming to a field near you, of that you can be sure. Truth is, you may already have it in your fields, and if you’re typically waiting until spring to control it, the problem is only going to get worse. But take heart! There are options for fall control that can nip this problem weed in the bud.
In this video, Peter Johnson, cereal specialist with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, lays out two herbicide tank-mix options AHEAD of winter wheat planting and one for a land headed into corn. He also discusses the one option you have if you didn’t get the field sprayed ahead of wheat but want to get in there this fall (which is a good idea).
