Dairy Genetics, Milking Technology and Lots of Cheese — A Recap of the Canadian Invasion at the World Dairy Expo

by

RealAg’s Bernard Tobin and Shaun Haney were among the many Canadians who attended the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin last week.

The WDE attracts around 70 thousand visitors each year. The 2,600 head of cattle on display had a new home for the 2014 expo, as the show included the opening of the new $24 million New Holland Pavilion.

In addition to eating too much cheese (is that possible?), Bern and Shaun took the opportunity to see the world’s best dairy genetics and the latest technology making dairy operations more efficient.

Take a look at the video below for their recap of the 48th annual World Dairy Expo:

Also — a Canadian champion — congratulations to Gen-Com Holstein Lte of Notre-Dame-Du-Bon-Conseil, Quebec! Their cow Rf Goldwyn Hailey was crowned Grand and Senior Champion of the 2014 International Holstein Show at the WDE.
