“I am very proud to join an organization that demonstrates leadership and commitment to a modern, caring, responsible sector that brings a major contribution to the Canadian economy,” she said in a news release from DFC. “I know there are many challenges ahead, but I am confident that together, we will ensure a prosperous and stable future for the Canadian dairy industry.”

Emond replaces Richard Doyle, who retired at the end of August after 38 years with DFC.

Her appointment is effective January 19th, 2015.
