Farm & Food Care Ontario Launches 4th Edition of “Real Dirt on Farming”

by

Dirt2014If your name is Kelly Daynard, you’ve likely been very, very busy over the last few months. That’s because Farm & Food Care Ontario, the organization Daynard is communications manager for, is rolling out several huge projects right now, while simultaneously supporting other provincial chapters of the organization to get off the ground.

From the fourth edition of “The Real Dirt on Farming,” to the 10th annual edition of the Faces of Farming calendar and more, Daynard and her team have been working diligently to launch the next big push in communication vehicles working to connect consumers and farmers.

In the audio interview below, Real Agriculture’s editor, Lyndsey Smith is joined by Daynard to talk about how Farm & Food Care came to be, and what keeps the organization hopping these days. From helping Saskatchewan launch its own chapter, to how consumer awareness and questions regarding food and farming has evolved over a decade or more, you’ll hear Daynard explain all that’s on the go with the organization, including how you can access resources to present the Real Dirt to non-farming groups.

(Farm & Food Care Ontario is also hosting a #RealDirt Twitter party on November 18th, between 7 and 8 pm, eastern time. There will be prizes!)
