Spray Tips with Tom Wolf — Ep. 12: The Year in Review — 8 Points of Your Spray Operation to Evaluate

by

As farmers shut the door on the 2014 production season (save for those in Ontario still slogging through corn harvest), so too do we wind down the last of the Spray Tips series.

In this post-harvest down-time, it’s important to take a much needed breather, then, before you know it’ll be time to start the shop projects and equipment maintenance for next year, if you haven’t started already. Before you get started, though, Tom Wolf, spray application specialist, has a handy list of things to evaluate, clean up, fix or replace on the sprayer.

Building off of the season’s Spray Tips series, Wolf runs through key areas of the sprayer that could potentially use upgrading or just maintenance, plus lists some quality parameters that could be improved for next year that may take some footwork through the busy winter season.

He mentions a few products to research at coming farm shows, some of which we’ve got videos on. The Capston Ag Pinpoint control unit can be seen in this video, and more about the novel end cap design, also from Hypro, click here.
