The second annual Crop Connect event, slated for February 17 and 18, 2015 at the Victoria Inn in Winnipeg, will cover timely agronomic issues and grain market trends, but there’s a strong farm business side to the conference as well. As Gerrard explains in this preview of her presentation, skyrocketing land prices, volatile grain markets and an aging farm population has many farm businesses unsure about whether now is the time to expand, contract, diversify or specialize.
