  1. Interesting spin that this should not effect markets after the media has been able to spin this as BSE case confirmed in Alberta ( without the addition of “since 2011”) At this time of year feeder cattle are in demand. Prices
    are high, and we are already- previous to this, have been hearing spin of prices taking a dive. Supply and demand don’t support that premise even when the futures are all over the place. Would it not be in best interest to play this story just like 2011 until all the facts are on the table and the truth about the age, location and where the animal came from are confirmed.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    We have not tried to spin this in any way. We need more information from the CFIA (the age) before we’ll know the full impact, but both the CFIA and the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association are saying it shouldn’t affect market access.
