Quebec City’s Laval University plays host to the International Farm Management Congress this year from July 12-15, an event that only takes place every second year in locations all over the world.
The congress attracts farmers, advisors, academia, policy makers, researchers, and anyone with a keen interest in farm business management, and Farm Management Canada is holding its Y We Farm video contest to send a young farmer to this year’s event with all expenses paid. The award is sponsored by FBC.
To win the trip, farmers, between the ages of 20 and 40, must produce a video, one minute or less, based on the theme: How are you practicing healthy agricultural management on your farm?
FMC says contestants are encouraged to be creative with their video submission (i.e. tape your video outdoors on your farm, interview others, etc). The videos will be vetted, posted on the FMC YouTube channel and judged on presentation style and content relevance.
The deadline to enter is April 26, 2015. The winner will be announced April 30, 2015.
