New Holland unveiled its Flexi Coil P Series air carts this January, with a nod to a history of innovation.
“The P Series air carts are a fresh example of Flexi-Coil’s long-standing heritage of innovation,” said Jason Hardy, New Holland crop production marketing manager. “Our product design team conducted extensive research with customers to make sure the P Series met their wants and needs. The result is an air cart that sets a new standard in seeding and application accuracy, reliability and efficiency.”
The P series includes seven models, with two, three and four tanks and capacities up to 950 bushels (plus the option of tow-between or tow-behind configurations). The carts enable producers to apply seed, fertilizer or granular products in a single pass through independent, 24-volt electric drive motors (on primary runs) for single or double-shoot applications. With the sectional control option, operators can individually control up to 10 sections of the air drill.
In this episode of the TechTour, filmed at Crop Production Show in Saskatoon, Shaun Haney talks to New Holland’s Trevor Rempel about the P Series’ new conveyor, handheld auger/conveyor controls, the metering system, ease of calibration, and the time it takes to develop and improve products.
