Pulse School: What 80% Turned Looks Like — Tips for Desiccating Faba Beans

Desiccant timing for all pulse crops is tricky — too early and you risk destroying yield potential; too late and you’ve lost time, leaving the crop open to increased weathering losses.

Help is on the way for this year’s rather stumpy faba bean crop, as Robyne Bowness, pulse research scientist with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry, heads to the field with RealAgriculture’s Debra Murphy to scout and stage this crop ahead of harvest.
