Rolling Out Farming’s Largest Tire

Michelin was living large at the 2015 Farm Progress Show as they unveiled some of the biggest tires in agriculture.

The new Michelin AxioBib stands 7’ 6” with a capacity of 24,000 pounds. Billed as the ‘largest farm tire in the world,’ it’s designed for high horsepower mechanical front wheel drive tractors and can carry extreme loads at low pressures to help reduce soil compaction.

James Crouch, Michelin’s Farm Segment Marketing Manager, says the new AxioBib will be introduced to North America in spring 2016 and should be available on North American equipment shortly after the release.

Michelin also unveiled a new model of its SprayBib tire for high clearance sprayers. The SprayBib is designed to carry loads of up to 16,000 pounds at 40 mph.
