‘Blue Cow Spirit’ Coming to Canadian Dairy XPO

by

The Canadian Dairy XPO and Dairy Farmers of Canada are teaming up to encourage producers to embrace the Blue Cow symbol to show support for their industry.

The Blue Cow Spirit Campaign will see gate admission to the CDX reduced to $15 and producers attending the show will be encouraged to wear Canadian Milk’s Blue Cow symbol to create a sea of blue at the April 6 and 7 show set for the Stratford Rotary Complex.

“Dairy Farmers of Canada is pleased to support efforts around building spirit and commitment behind the 100% Canadian Milk symbol. When our industry comes together, we project stability and fortitude for the future,” said DFC President Wally Smith in a release.

Dairy producers can wear existing blue cow apparel or purchase blue cow apparel at one of two DFC Blue Cow retail outlets located on-site at CDX. “By working with motivated partners such as DFC, we are able to make producers and their families feel welcome and rewarded for their commitment to the Canadian dairy industry,” said CDX general manager and founder Jordon Underhill. “With ongoing global trade pressure, there is more pride and passion for the 100% Canadian Milk symbol than ever before.”

Now entering its fourth year, CDX is home to 350 exhibiting dairy companies representing more than 30 countries. It features the latest in dairy innovation and cattle demos and offers a dairy classroom education program with international speakers, producer panels and virtual farm tours. More than 15,000 dairy producers attended the show in 2015.
