Gleaner Coming Out With S9 Transverse Rotary Combines for 2016

AGCO and its Gleaner brand continue to roll out combine innovations at a hectic pace. At the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois, the company unveiled its new 3300 Command Series corn head. Now comes word that farmers will be able to ride Gleaner’s new S9 Series combines for 2016.

The company says the 2016 transverse rotary combines will deliver new levels of harvesting performance, efficiency and operator productivity. A number of features will help make that happen including a new Vision cab and enhanced operator convenience delivered through the new Tyton terminal, plus modifications to the feeder house, drive electronics and drive mechanics.

For 2016, the S9 Series will include three models; the S96, S97 and S98, which are designed to meet the needs of farmers seeking class 6, 7 and 8 machines.

The combines will be available from dealers and will be on display at various winter farm shows beginning with the 2016­­­­­­­­ National Farm Machinery Show (NFMS). RealAgriculture will have a have a full report from the NFMS in February.
