Western Grains Research Foundation and Farm Credit Canada Partnering With Nuffield Canada

by

Nuffield Canada has announced two new partners coming on board with funding for the agriculture leadership development program in 2016.

The Western Grains Research Foundation will be sponsoring a new scholarship for individuals looking to build their understanding of agriculture through international studies. The funding will be available to scholars directly involved in the Western Canadian field crop sector, preferably a producer, or an individual actively involved in the sector through extension or research whose research topic will focus on the field crop sector.

NuffieldLogo-Maple-LeafFarm Credit Canada’s support will be used for program awareness, marketing and communication. FCC will also access Nuffield scholars for its education programs.

“The main goal of Nuffield Canada is to grow leadership capacity in agriculture,” said Nuffield Canada chair Kelvin Meadows. “The support of FCC and the WGRF, with their profile and outreach, is a tremendous asset to our program. We’re very excited to welcome them to the team.”

After completing intense overseas studies on a topic of their choice, Nuffield Scholars are required to share the knowledge they gain for the betterment of Canadian agriculture.

WGRF and FCC join Grain Farmers of Ontario and Glacier Media as industry sponsors of Nuffield Canada.
