RealAg Hockey: We Have a Winner…

Calving, planting prep, and hockey playoffs — it looks like, despite the wintery weather in some areas, spring is here. And with it comes the conclusion of regular season hockey and the 2015-16 RealAg hockey pool.

Unfortunately, Canadian hockey fans won’t have a hometown team to cheer for this year, but it was still an exciting season. Thanks to all — the 350+ people — who entered our fun little contest.

So without further ado, the winner of the 2015-16 RealAg Hockey Pool is…

Team “JR” — Joe Rowbottom of Drumheller, AB!!

Led by Erik Karlsson, Joe Pavelski and Johnny Gaudreau, JR finished with 1191 points and a 12 point lead over team “ron d”. Team “Munro” rounded out the top three. Here’s how things looked at the top of the standings:

Last, but not least — aka the Toronto Maple Leafs award: congrats to the Frank Lake Fighting Muskrats (also kudos for one of the better team names).

The prize for first place is a $100 gift card to Best Buy. Spots 2 through 5 will receive a RealAg hoodie.
