The last five years I have been very fortunate to moderate the Saskatchewan Stock Growers annual meeting. Over the years I have heard some great presentations and have gained a very strong connection with the ranching roots of the organization. In my time hosting the meeting I have seen freakish snow storms in the Cypress Hills to blistering heat in Swift Current.
This year, the meeting was held in Regina and it was a full day of learning and discussions on cattle transport, risk management, cattle markets, human resources and cattle handling. The beauty is that the day always ends with great discussion and a cold beer. My kind of people.
I thought it would be fun to record a wrap up with SSGA President Doug Gillespie. We chat about our favourite parts of the day and what you may of missed.
