Get Real. Get Reading. Introducing the Real Agriculture Book Club

by

Food, agriculture, politics, business, popular culture, current issues, and even sports. You’ll find it all on Real Agriculture’s new Get Real, Get Reading podcast.

Every month we’ll chat with authors of popular (and not so popular) titles. But before co-hosts Bernard Tobin and Shaun Haney sit down with the author, we want the Real Agriculture community to weigh in on the conversation. As our the reading buddies explain in their first podcast, we’ll be announcing each book title one month before the interview to give book lovers an opportunity to read the book and propose questions for the author. Let’s face it, Bernard and Shaun can use all the help they can get!

Get Real. Get Reading co-host Bernard Tobin is digging into our first book. Get reading and let him know your question for author Timothy Caulfield.

We’ll kick off the club with Is Gwyneth Paltrow Wrong About Everything: When Celebrity Culture and Science Clash. Written by University of Alberta professor Timothy Caulfield, the book is an interesting and highly entertaining take on how celebrities shape public perceptions of everything from food and diets to cosmetics and the surprising popularity of colon cleanses! Gluten, organics it’s all here – lots of meat for Real Ag readers to get their teeth into.

The book is widely available at local bookstores and online here or here.
