Highlights from Day 1 of Farm Progress Show

Farmers got a glimpse of the future on Day 1 of the Farm Progress Show.

Case IH rolled out an autonomous concept tractor and John Deere talked about plans for a carbon fibre farming revolution that could see sprayer booms and more made of the material in the near future.

Real Agriculture’s Kelvin Heppner and Bernard Tobin are on the ground at the Boone, Iowa farm show, which expects to draw 160,000 over three days. For their Day 1 report, our intrepid reporters managed to find a giant map of the show and use it to tell the story of who they interviewed and what they discovered as they travelled the show.

Grain backlog growing as railways fall behind
