'Intelligent' Baler Delivers Uniformity and Reduces Operator Fatigue

by

New Holland’s new IntelliBale system is designed to increase productivity by automating round baling functions to reduce operator fatigue and produce more uniform bales.

New Holland unveiled the technology at the recent Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa. In this video, hay and forage marketing manager Seth Doman explains that New Holland’s IntelliBale uses ISOBUS 3 technology that allows the baler to communicate with the tractor, forcing it to perform specific functions with limited operator involvement.

Doman says farmers will immediately see the benefits during long harvest days that can fatigue baler operators. IntelliBale will automatically tell the baler to come to a stop when the bale is made. It will wrap the bale, open the tailgate, eject the bale and then send a signal to the operator to move forward and continue baling.

Doman adds that farmers will also see more uniform bales because bale size is no longer determined by the operator’s reaction time.

IntelliBale is now available on New Holland’s 450, 460 and 560 roll-belt round baler models and can be paired with ISOBUS 3 compatible T6 and T7 AutoCommand tractors and T7 Full Powershift models with electronic park brake.
